Evolution Mail Client Setup
If you want to get access to your new team.blue exchange service for email, calendars etc. You need to follow this guide to generate an APP password that you can use for authorising access to your office365 account.
Guide:
- Log into your Office365 account and click your profile "bubble" and click "view my account".
- Click "Security Info" menu point.
- Click "Add method" button, select "App password" method and click "Done".
- Go into your email client and setup the exchange services and email.
Evolution Guide:
Ensure you have the EWS package installed for Evolution.
- Click "Edit" menu, then "Accounts".
- Click "Add" -> "Mail Account" -> Click "Next".
- Fill in your "Full Name" and "Email address" (fx something.something@team.blue)
- Un-check "Look up mail server based on the entered e-mail address" -> Click "Next".
- Change "Server Type" to "Exchange Web Services".
- Specify your full team.blue email address as the "Username".
- Specify "Host URL" as "https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx"
- Select "Basic" for "Authentication" -> Click "OK".
- Set the "Receiving Options" -> Click "Next".
- Specify an "Account Name" for Evolution -> Click "Next -> Click "Apply".
You can now sync your email and calendars as much as you want.
